In addition to telling your friends to let you know when an opportunity shows up, you could also try the following ways

1. Update your resume in all the job sites such as Monster, Times, Naukri etc.

2. Regularly follow updates for fresher job sites such as 

http://www.freshersworld.com/
http://www.jobs-freshers.com/
http://freshersjob.in/
http://www.indianfresher.com/
http://www.yuvajobs.com/
http://www.firstnaukri.com/

3. There are twitter pages that post jobs similar to https://twitter.com/#!/search/%23softwaretesting You would have to search a bit to find some. 

4. Go to software technology park websites such as http://www.infopark.in/companies.php and http://www.technopark.org/companies/a-z-listing which have company listing in them. You would have to apply for jobs individually for each firms. ( you could google for more )
