Recording functionality of an htc component
Does anyone know a (freeware) record-and-playback tool which has support for htc components or knows how to fix the following problem?
I am trying to record some functionality in a webbased application. I've tried recording within several tools, like BadBoy or Selenium, but they all seem to refuse recording tasks executed in an htc component (for anyone who doesn't know htc... it's a form of dynamic HTML). Either i'm doing something wrong or my guess is right and there is a lack in support for this component?
Can someone help me out? I'm getting bored of executing several procedures in this webbased application prior to actually start testing. It's a labor-intensive and error-prone task which i would like to automate.

You can try “SAHI” open-source tool. Sahi is automation and testing tool for web applications, with the facility to record and playback scripts. Sahi runs on any modern browser which supports javascript. Developed in java and javascript, Sahi uses simple javascript to execute events on the browser.
It is user friendly and easy to learn with good online support from Sahi team.
One can start automation from the day one itself!
I have tried it and exploring more on it.

Hello Michel: I will check and see if our solution will help you with this (LiquidTest). Is there a showcase site i can test HTC that you use?
