Do you remember, how it happened? Contemporary testers encountered waterfall's troubles or simply heard about it from the old 'brothers'?

When I started in testing I used to hear a lot of waterfall model (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterfall_model), though I had never heard any one using it. May be it is DEAD :)

We did used waterfall for some time for a client, but later they changed to looped waterfall model, and then later V model.

But we changed to agile testing process directly from waterfall model, didnt wait to see what was looped & V Model looks like :)
