TESTLINK is a test case writing tool.

u can able to write Test cases

configure the builds,

execute them....

you will find it with test plan, test metrics etc..also

need to integrate it with sql.

Dear Friend,

Because of the cast many companys they don't use the TCM(Test Case managment tool). we don't have specific testcase formate if we start writing in the word or Excel.

if you company allow you to explore on testing advice them to use the "Testopia" this is TCM tool with bugzilla  integrated with my sql.

All are free tool. you can have a QC like experience over there.you have dashboard. test plan.requirement.Test Case preparation and execution at the same time bug tracer .

These are general columns for test cases..

Test CaseID.    Test Case Description   Steps To reproduced  Expected Result  Actual Result   Priority    Status    Comments

 

& written in excel..

one project i write test case in excel and other one in word.

Where did u wirite the test cases ? excal or word.
